young at mind

how can thinking like a child better our lives?
Monday, January 25th, 2020, I sat in the library on the first day of my last semester in college and thought to myself "why is coming up with a capstone idea so tough and complicated?” Then, I thought to myself "why does everything feel so tough and complicated these days?"
The Cognitive Revolution in 1956 revealed the importance of studying the science of how we think. Jean Piaget and Simon Baron-Choen were two psychologists I studied who made big steps in understanding specifically children's minds, focusing on memory, attention and problem-solving.
Kids see the world in ways that we become blind to as adults.
I asked a study group of 15 kids (ages 5-11) and 15 adults (ages 18+) purposefully crafted questions based on child psychology research and the social-emotional habits of kids. The book is filled with their answers.
